A free bus service has been started by Ambulatory Healthcare Services (AHS) for Al Qua and Al Wagan residents who need to go for mandatory medical screening at Al Ain�s Disease Prevention and Screening Centre for visa purpose.
The Ambulatory Healthcare Services (AHS) is a division of the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (Seha). The free transport service was started on Monday after receiving requests from the residents situated on the outskirts of Al Ain. The drive from Al Wagan to the Al Ain centre is a lengthy 140 km and residents face difficulties in travelling.
Mohamed Hawas Al Sadid, the acting director of AHS�s Disease Prevention and Screening Centers told that they are confident in the introduction of the service and it will ease the effort of traveling to the centre. The passenger pick-up points of transport service will be from AHS Healthcare Centres in Al Qua at 7.15am and Al Wagan at 8am. The service will be provided on a first-come-first-serve (FCFS) basis. Visa medical screening services are provided from Sunday to Thursday from 7am to 3pm.
The Disease Prevention and Screening Centre offer specialized services in the prevention and screening of communicable diseases. In addition, the centre provides premarital screening and counseling, pre-employment screening, occupational health, travel health and disease control management services.
