A visitor to UAE needs to get a new entry permit to re-enter the country once he or she leaves from the UAE through any exit point for any destination. The new visit entry permit will be issued only after 30 days from the date the visitor leaves the UAE.
People coming in visas for visit, tourism and transit are valid only for a single entry into the UAE. So visitors visiting a neighbouring country like Oman or Saudi Arabia cannot return to the country using the same permit.
This rule is applicable even if the visitor leave the country before the expiry of their entry permits.
Multiple entry is possible only through multiple entry visas. This is available for businessmen who need frequent visit to the UAE and have a relationship with a reputable company here.This type of visa is valid for six months from the issue date and has to pay a fee of Dh1000. However, each businese visit must not exceed 30 days. Visitor, tourist and transit visas are issued only for single entry.
